Materials & Pricing
Choose the right 3D printing material for your project and understand how Artin3D prepares a quote. We offer FDM printing for prototypes and functional parts, plus SLA resin printing for fine detail. Material choice depends on the part’s use, finish, strength and availability.
Have a 3D file? Upload an STL, 3MF or OBJ. If you only have a photo, sketch, dimensions or an idea, send those instead and tell us what the part needs to do.
3D Printing Materials We Use
FDM builds parts from filament; SLA uses liquid resin for finer detail and a smoother finish. This quick comparison helps you narrow down a choice. Exact grade and availability are confirmed with your quote.
- PLA+ · FDM: Visual models and prototypes; visible layers; low flexibility; low heat suitability; avoid hot locations.
- PETG · FDM: Durable everyday parts; visible layers; slight give; moderate heat suitability; fine detail varies by shape.
- ABS · FDM: Enclosures and mechanical parts; finishable layers; low flexibility; better heat suitability than PLA+; larger parts can warp.
- TPU · FDM: Grips and flexible parts; visible layers; high flexibility; heat suitability depends on grade; unsuitable for rigid parts.
- Nylon CF · FDM: Stiff jigs and functional parts; matte finish; low flexibility; higher heat suitability depending on grade; moisture control and design matter.
- Resin · SLA: Miniatures and detailed models; smooth finish; flexibility and heat suitability depend on resin; washing and curing required.
Tell us about fit, load, exposure and appearance. These are general comparisons rather than performance guarantees for a specific part.
PLA+ (Polylactic Acid)
Best for: Prototypes, decorative objects and indoor display pieces.
- A practical choice when cost and appearance matter.
- Visible layer lines are normal for FDM prints; finishing can improve the surface.
- Low heat suitability: share the intended environment before choosing it for a functional part.
PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol)
Best for: Durable everyday components and practical prototypes.
- Offers a useful balance of toughness and some flexibility.
- More heat tolerant than typical PLA+, depending on grade and design.
- Surface detail and appearance depend on geometry and print settings.
ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene)
Best for: Enclosures and functional parts where additional heat tolerance is useful.
- Suitable for many mechanical applications when the part is designed for FDM printing.
- Large or thin features can warp, so we review the design before quoting.
- Tell us about operating conditions and fit requirements.
TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane Flexible)
Best for: Grips, flexible covers and shock-absorbing parts.
- Rubber-like flexibility varies by TPU grade and part thickness.
- Share the required softness, fit and loading direction.
- Not suitable when the component must stay rigid.
Nylon Carbon Fiber (FDM) & SLA Resin
Nylon Carbon Fiber (FDM): A stiff option for selected jigs, brackets and functional parts. Properties depend on the nylon grade, moisture control, print orientation and design. We review loads and heat exposure before recommending it.
SLA Resin: Suitable for small, detailed models and smooth presentation parts. The exact resin determines strength, flexibility and heat performance; washing and curing are part of the process. Tell us if the part must bear load or fit another component.
Pricing Structure
Every part is quoted after we review the file or reference. Material, size and weight, print time, support structures, infill, finishing, design work, quantity and delivery can all change the total. We confirm the final amount and production timeline before proceeding.
Pricing Is Based On:
- Material and availability
- Part size, weight, geometry and print time
- Supports, infill and strength requirements
- Surface finishing, painting or assembly
- CAD modeling or file repair, when needed
- Order quantity and delivery location
A per-gram figure is only a rough guide; the actual quote reflects the full job.
Indicative FDM Starting Ranges
Estimates only: These published ranges are a starting guide, not a fixed price or a guarantee that a material is currently in stock. We confirm the current rate, any minimum job charge, design or finishing cost, and delivery charge in your individual quote.
- PLA / PLA+: ৳7 per gram
- PETG: ৳8 per gram
- ABS: ৳9 per gram
- TPU: from ৳15 per gram
- Nylon Carbon Fiber: ৳25+ per gram
SLA resin, complex jobs and CAD work are quoted separately. Final pricing depends on the approved file, settings, quantity and finish.
Design & Customization Cost
Simple advice on material and print setup is included in the discussion. CAD modeling, complex changes, file repair and additional finishing may have separate charges. We explain any such work and its cost before you approve the order.
How to Get an Exact Price
- Send your file or reference. Upload STL, 3MF or OBJ; a photo, sketch and dimensions also help if you have no model.
- Describe the use. Share quantity, size, preferred material or color, fit, load, environment and delivery location.
- Review the quote. We check printability and confirm price, any design work and an estimated production timeline.
- Approve production. We print, check the result and arrange delivery after your confirmation.
Delivery & Payment
- Nationwide delivery in Bangladesh is available.
- Delivery charges depend on location, parcel size and service.
- We confirm payment options and delivery cost before the order is placed.
Why Our Pricing Is Fair
We review material use, print settings and post-processing before quoting, then quality-check the finished part. Our team can help with both a ready-to-print file and a concept that still needs CAD work.
Pricing FAQs
Is the per-gram estimate my final price?
No. Supports, machine time, finishing, design work and quantity can change the total. Your final quote is confirmed before production.
Can you quote from a photo or an idea?
Yes. Send a photo or sketch, dimensions and intended use. CAD modeling may be quoted separately.
Is delivery included?
Delivery is quoted by destination and parcel size.
Do bulk orders cost less per piece?
Quantity can affect unit pricing. Send your target quantity for a specific quote.
