ধাপ ১: Project Scope বোঝা
প্রথমে client কী চায় তা পরিষ্কার করা হয়। শুধু raw part নাকি fully assembled body, ready file আছে নাকি design করতে হবে, prototype নাকি production batch—এই scope quotation-এর foundation।
ধাপ ২: File Review
STL/STEP file থাকলে size, geometry, wall thickness, support এবং printability check করা হয়। যদি file না থাকে, design effort estimate করা হয়।
ধাপ ৩: Material Estimate
Slicer model থেকে part + support material estimate দেয়। Material type অনুযায়ী cost change হয়। PLA, PETG, ASA, TPU বা resin-এর cost structure আলাদা।
ধাপ ৪: Machine Time
Slicer estimated print duration দেয়। Machine hour quotation-এ গুরুত্বপূর্ণ, কারণ long print workshop capacity occupy করে এবং machine depreciation/maintenance-এর অংশ বহন করে।
ধাপ ৫: Support ও Waste
Support-heavy model-এ extra material ও time লাগে। Brim, purge, failed start বা resin support cleanup-এর মতো process waste quotation-এ বিবেচিত হতে পারে।
ধাপ ৬: Design Charge
Ready file print করা এবং scratch থেকে CAD বানানো এক service নয়। Design complexity, measurement, revision এবং engineering responsibility অনুযায়ী design charge হয়।
ধাপ ৭: Post-Processing
Support removal, sanding, painting, bonding, heat-set insert, drilling বা assembly—যে যত labour-intensive, quotation তত বাড়ে।
ধাপ ৮: Quantity
One-off prototype-এর unit cost bulk-এর চেয়ে বেশি হতে পারে। Validated repeat job-এ setup efficiency বাড়ে, যদিও machine time এখনও production cost-এর বড় অংশ।
ধাপ ৯: Quality ও Tolerance
Loose decorative tolerance এবং tight mechanical fit-এর effort একই নয়। Critical dimension inspection, test-fit বা iteration লাগলে quotation-এ engineering time ধরা হয়।
ধাপ ১০: Delivery ও Packaging
Fragile resin part, painted prop বা small mechanical parts-এর packaging আলাদা হতে পারে। Courier cost সাধারণত location অনুযায়ী যোগ হয়।
