অনেক client মনে করেন 3D printing service নিতে হলে আগে থেকেই STL file থাকতে হবে। বাস্তবে 3D model না থাকলেও custom product তৈরি করা সম্ভব। Idea, sketch, reference photo, PCB, existing part বা physical sample থেকে CAD model তৈরি করে পরে print করা যায়। তবে input যত পরিষ্কার হবে, design তত accurate হবে।

শুধু Photo থাকলে কী হয়?
Photo shape বুঝতে সাহায্য করে, কিন্তু exact scale দেয় না। অন্তত একটি known dimension দরকার। Front, side ও top view দিলে proportion বুঝতে সুবিধা হয়। Product-এর functional hole বা fitting থাকলে separate close-up দরকার।
Sketch থেকে Model
Simple box, bracket, holder বা enclosure-এর ক্ষেত্রে dimensionসহ hand sketch যথেষ্ট হতে পারে। Overall size, hole spacing, wall thickness এবং mounting point লিখে দিলে CAD designer দ্রুত model তৈরি করতে পারে।
PCB থেকে Enclosure
PCB enclosure design-এ board length-width, connector location, button, display, screw hole, antenna এবং cable clearance জানা দরকার। Physical PCB দিলে measurement নিয়ে body design করা যায়।
Physical Sample থেকে Reverse Engineering
Existing part হাতে থাকলে caliper ও অন্যান্য measurement tool দিয়ে geometry recreate করা হয়। Simple prismatic part সহজ; organic curved part আরও advanced scanning/modeling চাইতে পারে।
Design Charge কেন আলাদা?
Print cost machine ও material-এর জন্য, design cost engineer/designer-এর সময় ও skill-এর জন্য। Photo থেকে functional CAD বানানো ready STL print করার চেয়ে বেশি কাজ। Revision এবং complexity অনুযায়ী design charge বদলায়।
Revision কীভাবে হয়?
প্রথম CAD draft-এর screenshot/render client review করে। তারপর hole position, curve, logo, clearance বা dimension adjust করা হয়। Critical project-এ prototype print করে physical feedback অনুযায়ী second revision করা হয়।
Prototype কেন জরুরি?
Digital model theoretically fit করলেও actual print tolerance, component variation ও assembly method-এর কারণে adjustment লাগতে পারে। Bulk production-এর আগে prototype test করলে risk কমে।
