Custom keychain, branded enclosure, trophy, product label বা prototype-এ ছোট text ও logo খুব common feature। কিন্তু digital model-এ পরিষ্কার দেখা গেলেও FDM printer সব tiny detail একইভাবে reproduce করতে পারে না।
Minimum Feature Size বুঝুন
0.4 mm nozzle-এর practical line width ও slicer behaviour অনুযায়ী খুব thin stroke হারিয়ে যেতে পারে। Font stroke nozzle width-এর চেয়ে যথেষ্ট বড় রাখা ভালো।
Embossed নাকি Engraved?
Embossed text top surface থেকে উপরে উঠে থাকে, engraved text ভিতরে কাটা থাকে। দুটির depth/height যথেষ্ট না হলে layer generation-এ detail হারাতে পারে।
Font Selection
- Bold sans-serif font ছোট size-এ বেশি readable
- Very thin serif ও script font এড়িয়ে চলুন
- Letter spacing একটু বাড়ান
- Sharp tiny corner কমান
Orientation
Top-facing text সাধারণত side-wall text-এর তুলনায় সহজে clean আসতে পারে। তবে part geometry ও support requirement অনুযায়ী decision নিন।
Nozzle ও Layer Height
Fine branding-এর জন্য smaller nozzle useful হতে পারে, তবে print time বাড়ে। Vertical detail-এর জন্য finer layer height readability improve করতে পারে।
Contrast গুরুত্বপূর্ণ
Multi-color print, paint fill বা contrasting insert text visibility অনেক বাড়াতে পারে। Single-color text-এ lighting ও shadow readability প্রভাবিত করে।
Slicer Preview
Print শুরু করার আগে preview-তে প্রতিটি letter toolpath পেয়েছে কি না দেখুন। Missing stroke CAD-এ বড় করুন।
Prototype Test
Brand logo bulk print করার আগে small logo test plate print করুন। এতে fastest readable size নির্ধারণ করা যায়।
